In March of 2017, Toyota announced that it was bringing the AICHI scissor lift product line to its network of dealers in North America.

“With a growing global presence and a loyal customer base, AICHI gained the attention of Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) as one of the most dependable aerial work platform manufacturers in the world. Such an excellent product presented an opportunity to join two companies with closely shared values.” –TICO’s AICHI site.

The North American dealers now offer five scissor lifts with 25, 26, 32, and 38 foot working heights. These lifts are powered by AC Lift and Drive motors and offer an anti-rollback function that keeps the lift in place if stopped on an incline. The lifts come standard with a tilt alarm, drive and lift cut out, and reduced travel speed when the platform is elevated.

AICHI continues to come up as one of the top aerial platform manufacturers. Just last month, Access International released the 2016 ranking for the world’s largest access equipment companies, with AICHI rating at #5 in the world. The manufacturer has grown 7% since 2015 and we expect it to continue to grow stronger and larger. Now that it has entered the US market, AICHI should rise to #4 or even #3 in the world in 2017.
